Halloween Cake Pops

Yummy Ghosts and Pumpkins for Your Big and Little Trick-O-Treaters

As popular as these were last year, we have to re-post for this year’s celebration.

Cake pops are all the rage these days. They are super cute and taste amazing. Problem is, they are a lot of work to make and super expensive to purchase. This is my quick and simple version. Give it a try and get your little ghosts and goblins involved in the process.

It’s like PlayDough, only edible.

Halloween Cake Pops

Supplies:

1 box brownie mix
2 bags white chocolate melting chips
lolly pop sticks
chocolate candy food coloring
Tube piping gel (green, black & orange)
1 styrofoam platter (2″ high x 16” wide x 12″ deep)

Directions:

• Make the Brownie mix according to the box directions and allow to cool completely.

• Cut the brownies into 1″ squares

• Enlist your little goblins to help roll the brownie squares into balls.

• Insert the Lolly Pop Sticks and chill. I placed mine in the freezer for about 20 minutes

• While the pops are chilling begin to melt your chocolate melting chips. Either follow the microwave directions or get you double broiler set up.

Once the chocolate is a smooth creamy consistency, get read to take the big dip.

• Divide the browning balls into two groups. Half can be the pumpkins and half can be the ghosts.
• Carefully take the first group and dunk the brownie ball into the white melted chocolate. Use a spoon to help cover all surfaces.

• Place each pop in the styrofoam to cool.

• Add the orange chocolate coloring to the remaining melted chocolate. Now you are ready to dip your pumpkins.

Allow the chocolate to harden completely and then pass out the piping gel.

This is a great time to get the kiddo involved. Making their own ghosts and pumpkins is great Halloween fun.

These are so good. Enjoy! Wishing you a Happy and Sweet Halloween.
