Sweet Cream for Scones

Our Version of Devonshire Cream for Scones

At some point you have probably had high tea. For anyone who hasn’t, one of the most wonderful parts of any high tea is the cream and scones. Scones are a favorite treat in our house, and this recipe is a super simple and absolutely delicious one. Once you have your scones in the oven, take a few minutes to make a small batch of sweet cream to push this delicious treat over the top.

Traditionally “Clotted Cream” or Devonshire Cream, is served with scones. Since most of us have access to neither at our local grocer, this super simple recipe is great substitute and sure to please your scone-loving crowd. As my girls have discovered it is also super yummy on pancakes, waffles and right out of the refrigerator piled high on a big spoon.
