Paper Bag Microwave Popcorn

Clean & Natural Popcorn in 90 Seconds

Popcorn is an afternoon snack staple around our house after school.  But I really can not stand all of fake flavors and hydrogenated oils in the microwave popcorn, and breaking out the pot or popcorn maker is the last thing I want to do after a long day working.  I just want to play with my munchkin and enjoy snack time with her.

So, when hearing about the idea of microwaving popcorn in a paper bag, I had to try it.  After experimenting a bit, I have the method down and wanted to share with you.

Nothing is more simple – a bag of clean, natural and crunchy popcorn in 90 seconds.

Paper Bag Microwave Popcorn

Ingredients:

1 paper lunch bag (plain paper bag)
2 T popcorn kernels
Olive Oil & Salt to Taste

Directions:

Pour popcorn kernels into paper bag.

Fold over top of bag.

Place bag standing up in microwave.

Microwave for 1 minute, 30 seconds (now you may have a few test bags here the first time around since every microwave is different in its power levels).

When done, take the bag out of the microwave and sprinkle the popcorn with olive oil and salt to taste in the bag.

Shake the bag.

Pour into a serving bowl. Munch away.

Other flavors ideas include:
Parmesan Cheese & Freshly Ground Pepper
