Peanut Butter Dip
Peanuts, Caramel & Apples … Yummmm
I grew up eating peanut butter the old fashioned-way: out of the jar and with a spoon.
Who doesn’t love peanut butter? (Okay, minus those who need to carry an epi-pen around peanuts.) This dip is a yummy, salty and sweet treat to add to your dessert table any time of year!
Peanut Butter Dip
Ingredients:
1/2 C Lightly Salted Peanuts
3/4 C Light Brown Sugar
1 (8 oz) Cream Cheese, softened
1 tsp Vanilla
1/4 C Caramel Ice Cream Topping (1/2 of the jar – 4 oz)
Sliced apples for dipping
Directions:
Grind the peanuts in a food processor until chopped.
Add remaining ingredients one at a time until combined. It will be slightly chunky. If you prefer a smoother peanut butter, chop the peanuts for longer in the first step until finely chopped.
Refrigerate until ready to serve. Scoop into bowl and garnish top with a few peanuts.
Serve with apples for dipping. It is also great served on brownies, cake, ice cream or just on a spoon.
Double for company and holidays. (Who am I kidding? Double it for yourself. Especially if you are a peanut butter-on-a-spoon dipper!)
