Pretty Awesome Weekends: Pumpkin, Spice & Everything Super Nice

Pumpkin and all that is fall.

First let me say, I am totally on a diet, so this week’s Pretty Awesome Weekends post is really a bit of online window shopping for me — window shopping in that I can picture all these items lined up in the window of a bakery as I am starring through the window, nose pressed up against that glass in excited anticipation of tasting one of these beautiful treats.

So please, for the love of all that is good, make one of these beautiful pumpkin and spice recipes this weekend and come back and comment telling me how amazing they are.  I promise, I won’t be jealous (well, just a little bit) …

Pumpkin Spice Syrup – This is just brilliant — a way to create a real Pumpkin Spice Latte at home.  Thanks Food + Words for another great one.  You are more Awesome + Fun in my book.

Pumpkin Bundt Cake – Every time I see a bundt cake recipe of think of “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” and the funny mom trying to pronounce it “BON BON BONK … BUUNNN … BUNDDDTTT!” The lovely and talented Kristen over at Dine & Dish created this beautiful Pumpkin Bundt Cake that I will be absolutely be making for my family very soon.

Fig Crostini – Figs just go with early fall … they have actually been sold out at my local grocery store for a week or so, but I can’t wait to grab some and try this one from Food & Style on my family (sans the goat cheese with another creamy substitute … maybe a nice creamy french cheese).

Pumpkin Penne with Arugula, MushroomsI love Pumpkin in savory dishes, especially pasta.  And Elly over at Elly Says Opa! has done a beautiful job combining some wonderful fall flavors in this pasta dish.

Gooey Cinnamon Biscuits – These look like heaven on a plate – a fluffy, crumbly cinnamon heaven created by Jane over at This Week for Dinner.

Pumpkin Cornbread – Over at tastykitchen.com this recipe is shown beautifully by Two Peas & Their Pod. Corn, Pumpkin & Honey?  Yes please.

Enjoy these please – and make a few during your pretty awesome fall weekend!

Love ya – Julia
