The Gift of Time.

A notable quote from a friend as I enviously think about those who take long road trips/vacations this summer. During a conversation with this ever-so-cheery person, I asked how she kept a positive attitude about work and how to keep it from interfering with her life. Her answer was simple. “I work in order to do the things I enjoy.”

Her focus is her life, not necessarily her work. By working she affords the luxury of time. Time doing the things she loves.

I keep this in mind as I, too, look forward to a summer break. It will come soon enough. In the meantime, here’s to a pretty awesome summer. And, worksmart while you’re at it.
