The Wedding Cake – Have Some Fun Choosing.

The Wedding Cake – Quite a decision (or not?)

One of many BIG decisions that go into any wedding is “The Cake.” What shape, what size, what color, how is it decorated? I could go on and on.

Many popular television shows have been made that completely center around the wedding cake and what it should or should not look like. My main concern, as with most wedding guests, is what does it taste like?

That my friends was exactly what our Live Pretty Bride’s main concern was when it came to her cake. So what to do and how could she possibly decide? Well, she decided not to make the final call, but to allow her adoring friends and family to cast their vote at her Bridal shower.

Three cakes were ordered and three cakes were served. All varied not only in taste, but also in color and decorating style. It was our own little version of “Cake Hunters,” only the whole shower party got to cast their votes. Each cake was carefully perched atop one of three stands surrounded with hand made truffles, courtesy of the Mother of the Bride, antique figurines, amazing flowers and delicate white tool.

In the end, it made for a really pretty dessert table, and contrary Wedding tradition, the Chocolate won hands down. The wedding cake was chosen. Not surprising, it was a room full of women enjoying a lovely afternoon of friends, all celebrating an amazing woman and her next step in life.
