Best Chocolate Around

Beyond the fact that I will celebrate the love I have for my amazing husband, adorable daughter and wonderful family this year (yes, I am feeling the adjectives this evening), Valentine’s Day will allow me to indulge in one of the best creations ever — chocolate.  But, not just any chocolate. Green & Black’s dark chocolate.

You see, when you are on a wellness plan like me, a chocolate indulgence (or anything with refined sugar in it) is not on the menu at the start.  Someday it will be back on my list of allowed foods, but right now it is banned … and oh how I miss it.  But on Valentine’s Day I will eat my one “free” meal and have this chocolate for dessert.

There are all kinds of chocolate out there, but this chocolate is unsurpassed. Just look at it.

The dark, rich color.

The texture. It is like chocolate butter.

The taste. It is that kind of chocolate where you take just one morsel and let it melt in your mouth.  You don’t dare chew this chocolate; you savor it.

So, this year, instead of buying anyone you love a box of those chocolates with the weird runny centers of fake pink stuff, simply head to your closest grocery store (Whole Foods and Publix carry Green & Blacks) and buy them this … manna from heaven, gift from the Gods, Green & Black’s Dark Chocolate.

And if you need to dress it up, tie a bow around it, or use it as a strategically placed modesty patch when greeting your loved one in the buff on Valentine’s Day (bonus here is that you may have distracted your significant other enough that they will forget about the chocolate and leave it for you to enjoy on your own later).

Have a great Valentine’s Day!

P.S. Note to my trainer: no chocolate was consumed during the writing of this blog.  Promise.
