My Clear Little Friend

Last week I shared that I was now looking for some help in my Operation 25.5 journey.  Mainly for this reason — I realized very quickly that, left to my own devices, I would not reach my goal in the next millennium.  Strength is defined as understanding what you can’t do as much as you can, right?

And, lucky for me, I immediately found a wonderful fitness entrepreneur and friend who has agreed to take me on — the scatter brained and chocolate-clinging client — to help me get my health and fitness on track.  I’ll introduce you to this wonderful woman in the near future … trust me, you’ll love her (she’s smart, funny, joyful and gorgeous).

In the meantime, let me share with you the first two health guidelines that I have been given:

1. Walk 45 minutes a day
2. Drink 2 L of water a day (about 8.5 cups)

These seem like simple, and well, very smart changes.  But, like many women out there know … the organ that holds water in your body looses some of its strength after having a baby.  (E.g. you go to the bathroom tons after having any type of liquid).  So, let’s say, just after a few days of upping my water intake (actually more like actually paying attention to the fact I had not been drinking water) I have spent a lot of time running to the little girl’s room.  A lot of time …

You may be thinking, “Julia – This is WAYYYYY TMI, I don’t come here to read about your bathroom struggles.”  And I say to that, “You do now.”

So, welcome again to Live Pretty, where we take the Live Real part of our slogan for, well, real ….

Love ya,
Jul

(P.s. – Remind yourself to think of me fondly when you turn over in bed tomorrow morning at 5:30 a.m., because I’ll be dragging myself out of bed to get my walking in for the day — with a sleepy joy that I am working toward a very important life goal).

A good morning to you.

I’m proud of you. You go girl. Just one more thought. If you look at that close-up photo of the single glass of water, the bottom reflection is smiling back at ya.
